Our first gathering for 2015 was the Spring Lecture Meeting on Saturday 14th March. We welcomed Ursula Howard, who spoke about The Mulberry Bush, a specialist residential school for traumatised children aged 5 to 13, based in Standlake. As usual the talk was followed by tea and cakes.
We have also had our traditional summer outing - on Wednesday 24th June. We visited Hidcote Manor Gardens, near Chipping Campden, after lunch at a celebrated local pub, The Ebrington Arms.
For our Autumn Meeting on Saturday 7th November, we were pleased to welcome Dr Judith Braid, who spoke on some of the works of Elizabeth mackintosh (better known as the novelist Josephine Tey and the playwright Gordon Daviot). This was preceded by our AGM. Papers from the AGM are available to download:
Our Winter Lunch was held on Monday 7th December at The Anchor, Hayfield Road, Oxford. We will enjoyed a good meal with all the usual chat. And we were delighted to receive best wishes from the Mistress, which Margaret Pinsent read out for us.
